Rob Papen’s latest bundle of 27 plug-ins includes two new ones: RoCoder (musical muscular vocoder virtual effect – a new processor) and Predator-3, a major update to their well-known synth.
RoCoder is their take on the classic vocoder robotic voice effect. It includes various “modes” alongside the 32-band vocoder: Additive mode, Noise mode, Tuned Noise mode, and a Tuned Comb mode. Each band can be panned, there’s an XY pad, a modulation matrix, and several effects – chorus, flanger, phaser, stereo delay, and reverb.
The Predator-3 update now comes with a library of 6500+ presets. Its interface has been redesigned to put the main controls onscreen at once. The arpeggiator’s new second filter has a 5-stage envelope, an audio follower for side chain control, and integrated “analog-modeled sound code from Papen’s B.I.T. subtractive synth.
eXplorer-7 includes the company’s DelSane stereo delay, which features a regular delay alongside “dynamically changing disruptive insane delay” features.
