Marty Cutler

MARTY CUTLER currently resides in Closter, New Jersey, with his wife and six cats. He has performed with bluegrass musicians Hazel Dickens and Peter Rowan, with choreographer Twyla Tharp, on Saturday Night Live, in numerous jingles, and for Broadway theater. In addition to teaching MIDI and sound design at several colleges, he was a member of Electronic Musician’s editorial staff and later a contributor to EM, Guitar Player, and Keyboard. He created sounds for Korg, for the first commercial software synthesizer, and for MOTU’s Bob Moog Foundation Encore Soundbank. Marty co-authored the book MIDI for Guitarists, and his most recent is The New Electronic Guitarist.
