Do you run your synths and drums through an amp simulator, and if not why not?
Age of icons Vol. 1 for Overloud’s TH-U amp simulator features 15 presets plus variations, each from an “iconic group or song.” These evocations are mainly from the late 70s to early 90s: Boston, Rush, Whitesnake, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Nirvana, The Eagles, etc. The library was programmed by guitarist Ruben Reza, who you can see on TH-U videos and clinics.
It’s intended for guitars, but there are many off-label uses for guitar amps -specifically, running other things through them, especially lead sounds. They also work really well to add bite to drums, and you can route them in parallel, i.e. as an effects send to combine with the direct sound rather than running the whole signal through.
