Korg Wavestate Sequencing Synthesizer Video Review
Korgโs compact reissue of the โ90s classic packs a powerful punch. Mark Jenkins rides its waves on camera.
Hereโs the video version of ourย Wavestate review, ย one of a pair of lightweight, compact 3-octave synths launched by Korg. Its sibling is theย opsix (review published here earlier this week). Yet to come is theย Modwave (featured in this yearโs Believe in Music report), based on sound creation techniques of the DW8000 synth from the 1980s, while opsix is derived from the Yamaha DX7โs FM synthesis design, and Wavestate from that of the original Korg Wavestation and its two module versions.
