Impact Soundworks Announces Shreddage 3 Telos Sampled Guitar Library

A Telecaster joins their series of sampled electric guitars for Kontakt

Impact Soundworks’ original Shreddage library was already very good, and they’re now on the third version. Here’s the company release:

Impact Soundworks has just launched the latest entry in the company’s acclaimed Shreddage 3 series of virtual electric guitars: Shreddage 3 Telos, a new sample library featuring a classic American Performance Telecaster guitar recorded in painstaking detail. The library is built on the updated Shreddage 3.5 engine for the free Kontakt Player, making it easier to use with more realistic performances than ever before.

For decades, the Telecaster guitar has been a staple of rock, blues, pop, soul, country, punk, and funk, with a versatile sound that can even be pushed into hard rock and metal. Shreddage 3 Telos captures every aspect of this classic guitar’s celebrated sound, from mellow to aggressive, and combines it with the exhaustive articulations, deep sampling, and powerful realism that the Shreddage series is known for. To create Shreddage 3 Telos, ISW turned to guitarist Juan Medrano, whose standout performances on Jupiter, Abyss, and Legacy have made those three of the most beloved Shreddage libraries.

Impact Soundworks has been developing virtual guitars for over a decade, and that experience has shaped the development of the Shreddage 3.5 engine. Existing Shreddage users should find the workflow in Telos familiar, with expanded features. Users can choose their preferred fretting position and style, picking style, legato and non-legato playing, and string forcing, or allow the default algorithms to provide realistic and varied fret movement of the virtual hand. Telos also includes a full range of articulations, customizable keyswitch mapping and strumming, and a range of ready-to-go presets to fit many different genres.

Shreddage 3 Telos is available now for MSRP $159 at the Impact Soundworks store. Existing owners of other Shreddage 3 instruments can save up to $50 via crossgrade pricing.
