Corea wins Grammys for Best Jazz Instrumental Album: “Trilogy 2,” and Best Improvised Jazz Solo: “All Blues,” his 22nd and 23rd (on top of 67 nominations)

Gayle Moran, his wife (Remember “Mad Hatter?” That’s her singing.) accepted the awards for him.

Her acceptance speech is well worth watching. (It’s on the Grammy site.) She credits Christian McBride and Brian Blade, who played on the album, but also singles out Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder.

Mortality sucks, but what a legacy.
