DAN SIMPSON began playing guitar in the ’60s, and by the ’70s he was designing and building his own amplifiers, effects, and recording equipment. In 1983 he opened his first commercial recording studio/live sound production company, spending the next 37 years engineering for the rich and famous and the poor and infamous of Key West. Along the way he also developed his skills as a producer, arranger, and composer, writing music for video games, TV, and movies. He loved synthesizers since the very first time he heard one and bought his first of many, a Micromoog, in1977.
