The two top racks from which KEY88 TOPRACK takes its name (in part) can be mounted either at an angle, offering 2U of rack space, or flat, offering 3U of rack space, independently of each other to allow for flexible positioning of outboard equipment or other suitably-sized rack-mountable devices. If mounted at an angle, there is still 1U of rack space (in the hidden area above the cable channel) available for power strips or other similar equipment that users need not directly access. As they are positioned directly behind the keyboard drawer, the top racks remain easily reachable from the so-called sweet spot. The top racks themselves can effectively be ‘closed’ with 3U rack panels if not needed.
